Dear Families,

Spring has finally come and 5th grade has been quite busy in the past few weeks. We’ve been working hard in our novels and reading groups and we are just about to finish chapter 8 in Everyday math. Read Across America day was a huge success and we celebrated the math holiday Pi Day today! Thanks again for all of your pie donations !
In the next few we will be having Parent Teacher Conferences for the spring. Look for notices to go home in the next few days. This will be the last set of conferences before students go to middle school, so please talk with me about any questions you have for your child next year.
Additionally, I would like to take the time to remind you of a few important dates that are coming up:
Thursday March 24th and Tuesday March 29th- Conferences?

Monday April 18th- Friday April 22nd- April Vacation
President Project due  Monday April 25th
Wizard of Oz Production- Friday May 20th @ 7:00pm
As the year progresses into the 3rd and final trimester, I would like to encourage the students to keep up their hard work! It has been a great year and students have been working really hard in the classroom and school community. Please keep the positive attitudes and lets make this busy time of the year fun! We have lots of learning left in the school year!
Make sure to check out the students’ blogs and websites for weekly updates and changes, because they have all been using technology to communicate this year!

Thanks again for all of the support,
                            Miss Burnell
